The NEOSAT programme moves into development
10/23/2015 - 18:08An agreement was signed between ESA and Thalès Alenia Space for the development and qualification of the all-electric platform Neo. Because electric thrusters develop a very small thrust, a chemical propulsion module will also be developed for a combined electric-chemical version. While this is not hybrid propulsion per se, the combined electric-chemical stage for raising the satellite into its final orbit is part of the Hyprogeo strategy.
